What Lumenia keeps about you, why, who else sees it, and how to delete it. In plain words.

What Lumenia keeps
- Your account: your email address and your password, stored only as a secure hash.
- Your playlists and addons: each provider's server address, username and password (encrypted), and the addresses of addons you add. Lumenia keeps them so the TVs you link can use them. Lumenia keeps no copy of your provider's list of channels, films and series: only your TVs have it.
- Your profiles: each one's name, colour, the picture you upload for it, and its PIN, stored only as a secure hash. Anyone with the link to a profile's picture can see it.
- Your TVs: the name you give each one, when it last connected, and, while Lumenia is open on it, what it's playing.
- Problems on your TVs, only if you turn on “Help improve Lumenia” on the TVs page: when Lumenia crashes or something doesn't work (a title that won't play, a playlist that won't load), the TV sends what went wrong and Lumenia's version, for a month, shown on the TVs page. Playlist logins and stream addresses are removed on the TV before it's sent.
- What you watch, for each profile: where you stopped in each film, episode or channel, what you finished, your favourites, and titles you mark as already seen. That's what lets you carry on from another TV, and what your history page shows.
- Your picks: the titles an AI assistant you connected picked for you.
- Your TMDB key, if you add one, and the country you choose for age ratings.
- Copies of all this, made every day and kept two weeks, so nothing is lost if something goes wrong. Deleting your account removes it from the copies as they're replaced.
- Wrong passwords and codes: the email and internet address they were for or came from, for 15 minutes, to stop anyone guessing passwords.
Who else sees it
- Your TV provider. Your TVs play from your provider directly. Lumenia's server also uses your playlist login to check that it works, and when asked, to read a few things from the provider without keeping them: a channel's programmes and a series' episodes. AI assistants search your playlist through a TV with Lumenia open.
- The email service that delivers password reset emails: your email address and the email, only when you ask for a reset.
- Trakt, only if you connect it: Lumenia reads your Trakt history, and adds what you finish (and titles you mark as already seen) to your Trakt history.
- TMDB, only if you add your key: Lumenia asks TMDB, with your key, for the details, cast, episodes and age ratings of titles you open. Nothing about you or what you watch is sent with it.
- AI assistants you connect, such as Claude or ChatGPT: they get only what you allow when you connect them (for example browsing your titles, or your history), and never your playlist logins. What they receive is then also covered by that assistant's own privacy policy. You can disconnect them at any time, from TVs, then AI assistants.
Lumenia doesn't sell your data, show ads, or use analytics or advertising trackers.
Cookies
Lumenia's website uses a cookie to keep you signed in, and one that remembers your time zone so dates show in your local time. There are no other cookies.
How long it's kept, and deleting it
Everything is kept while you have an account. You can delete your account at any time from your account page: your account, playlists, addons, linked TVs, history, picks and assistant connections are deleted at once, and linked TVs are signed out. Copies in server backups are overwritten over time. Entries you added to Trakt stay in your Trakt account, which you manage on Trakt.
